Civil Supervisor Responsibilities

As a civil supervisor, it is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that assigned crews are working effectively and efficiently in order to complete any given project. This may involve examining plans and blueprints, providing training and guidance to staff, monitoring daily construction activities, inspecting quality control standards, evaluating onsite safety procedures, managing materials procurement processes, and staying apprised of changes in legislation or regulations related to the relevant field. Ultimately, the successful supervisor will understand their team’s capabilities and limitations in terms of work hours and resources available in order to effectively manage by leading with authority while promoting positive teamwork among members of the crew.
