PRINCIPLES TO Staircase Structural Drawing<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Width of Stair: It should not be less than 1.00m.
\n2.\u00a0 Length of flight: The number of steps in a single flight should not be more than 12.
\n3.\u00a0 Pitch of the stair: It should be between 25o to 40o
\n4.\u00a0 Width of landing: It should be 150mm, more than the width of stair.
\n5.\u00a0 Winders or kite steps: Odd shaped steps should be avoided and incase found necessary. These should be
\nprovided at the start of a stair.
\n6.\u00a0 Han-rails: It should be 750 to 850 mm in height from the top of respective step or landing.
\n7.\u00a0 Step proportions: The size of rise and tread in a stair should be kept uniform through out the whole stair.<\/p>\n

(i)\u00a0 Residential buildings-Tread=250 mm
\nRise=160 mm<\/p>\n

(ii)\u00a0 Public buildings – Tread=300 mm
\nRise=150 mm<\/p>\n

(iii) Industrial buildings, Railway station,
\netc tread=not less then 250 mm
\n=250 to 300 mm
\nRise=not less then 150 mm
\n=150 to 190 mm<\/p>\n
