{"id":1576,"date":"2017-04-20T12:26:25","date_gmt":"2017-04-20T06:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlinecivilforum.com\/site\/?p=1576"},"modified":"2022-12-13T11:34:01","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T06:04:01","slug":"important-things-to-be-followed-driven-cast-in-situ-piles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlinecivilforum.com\/site\/important-things-to-be-followed-driven-cast-in-situ-piles\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Things to be Followed Driven Cast-In-Situ Piles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Important Things to be Followed Driven Cast-In-Situ Piles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan movement of rig with respect to group of piles, Based on Priority of the Structure.<\/li>\n<li>Cross check the location of piles with reference points.(Survey)<\/li>\n<li>Check the&nbsp; pile&nbsp; shoe&nbsp; for&nbsp; stiffener&nbsp; &nbsp; Ensure&nbsp; full&nbsp; welding&nbsp; is&nbsp; done instead of tack weld.<\/li>\n<li>Place the pile shoe in the survey locations by excavating 200mm soil and place sand bags above the pile shoe after checking the Point.<\/li>\n<li>Apply Bitumen in the annular space between the casing and pile shoe to avoid water ingress.<\/li>\n<li>Check for verticality of casing during driving and Monitor frequently &amp; Record.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Height of Fall as per set Calculation .Record the No.of blows and record as per the Format.<\/li>\n<li>Terminate the pile based on set criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Check for water ingress inside the casing before concreting using water level indicator(make AIMIL)<\/li>\n<li>Check for proper welding of rebar lap joints.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain proper cover.<\/li>\n<li>Lower the Reinforcement carefully and hold the reinforcement and monitor the same during Extraction.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the concrete slump between 100mm to 150 mm.<\/li>\n<li>Proper care&nbsp; during&nbsp; withdrawal&nbsp; of&nbsp; &nbsp;(The&nbsp; energy&nbsp; required&nbsp; for withdrawal should be half of driving. This will ensure proper compaction of concrete inside.)<\/li>\n<li>The concrete pressure &gt; overburden pressure always during extraction of casing.<\/li>\n<li>Check for Theoretical Vs Actual concrete consumption for each pile.<\/li>\n<li>Check the Top of concrete after extraction from NGL<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a gap of \u201c6d\u201d between construction of successive piles.(where \u201cd\u201c= diameter of pile )<\/li>\n<li>Piling sequence is to be followed.<\/li>\n<li>Pile Driving shall normally be from the center to periphery or from one side to other of a pile group.<\/li>\n<li>Backfill the Empty bore (unconcreted portion above COL) of the pile with sand or with approved materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important Things to be Followed Driven Cast-In-Situ Piles &nbsp; Plan movement of rig with respect to group of piles, Based on Priority of the Structure.
