Bricks  shall  be stacked  on  firm ground.  For  proper<\/g> inspection  of<\/g> quality  <\/g>and<\/g>  ease<\/g> in  counting<\/g>,the<\/g> stacks shall  be 50 bricks  l<\/g>ength  and  10 bricks  high<\/g>,  the bricks being  placed onedge<\/g>. The  width  of each  stack  shall be 6  to  8 bricks.<\/g>Clear<\/g>  distance  between adjacent stacks  shall  not<\/g> be  <\/g>less<\/g>  than<\/g> 0.8  m.<\/g>Bricks<\/g>  of<\/g> different  <\/g>types<\/g>  <\/g>and<\/g>  class<\/g> shall  <\/g>be<\/g>  stacked<\/g> separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aggregate <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Aggregate shall  be\nstored  at site on  a hard \nand  dry  level patch \nof  ground.If such a surface  is \nnot  available,a platform of planks\nor of corrugated  iron  sheets,or a floor  of dry bricks,  or a thin \nlayer of lean concrete shall be \nmade so  as  to \nprevent  the  admixture \nof  clay,  dust, vegetable  and other \nforeign matter.Stacks of  fine and\ncoarse  aggregate-shall  be \nkept  in separate  stack \npiles,sufficiently removed from each other to prevent the materials\nat  the edge of the piles getting  intermixed. \nOn  a  large \njob  it  is \ndesirable  to construct  dividing \nwalls  to give  each \ntype  of aggregate its own  compartment. \nFine  aggregate  shall \nbe  stacked in  place \nwhere  loss  due \nto  the  effect \nof  wind  is \nminimum.Unless  specified  otherwise \nor.necessitated  by  site \nconditions,  stacking  of \naggregate  should  be \ncarried  out  in regular \nsizes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Separate areas shall be earmarked for storing each classi\ufb01cation(type and grade) of steel. It is desirable that the ends of bars and sections of each class be painted in distinct separate atmospheric agencies.Steel<\/g> reinforcement matter and be stored in such a way as to avoid distortion and to prevent deterioration and corrosion. It is desirable to coat reinforcement with cement wash before stacking to prevent scaling and rusting.Bars<\/g> of different classification sizes protect again stand lengths shall be stored separately to facilitate issue in such sizes and lengths so as to minimize wastage in cutting from standard lengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roofing  sheets  shall \nbe  stored  in \nsuch  a way  as \nnot  to damage  them \nin  any  way.Asbestos \ncement  sheets  shall \nbe  stacked  to a height \nof  not  more \nthan  one  metre \non  a  firm \nand  level  ground with \ntimber  or other  packing \nbeneath  them.  If \nstacked in  exposed  position, \nthey  shall  be \nprotected  from damage  by \nwind. Asbestos  cement  sheets \nof  the  same \nvariety  and  size shall \nbe  stacked  together.Damaged  sheets \nshall  not be stacked  with \nsound  materials.All  damaged \nsheets shall  be  salvaged \nas early  as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
