The steel parts on the bearing members shall have adequate bearing\nareas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.Safety measures are taken to prevent impact of traf\ufb01c,\nscour due to water and accidental impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.To ensure strength and stability of form work at intermediate\nstage, bracing, struts and ties shall be installed along with the progress of\nform work. \u2018Tilting and overturning of steel sections shall be avoided or restrained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.When adjustable steel props are used, no damage and\nvisible bents should be seen; steel pins should be provided, restrained\nlatterly near each end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.Screw adjustments of adjustable props shall not be over\nextended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.If settlement\/elastic shortening of props occurs,double\nwedges shall be provided for adjustment of the form to the required position.\nWedges are used only at bottom end of single prop and should not be too steep\nand one of the pair should be tightened\/clamped down after adjustment to\nprevent their shifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.No member shall be eccentric over vertical member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.Adequate number of bolts and nuts and cantilever supports\nshall be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.Props shall be directly under one another in multistage\nconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.Guy ropes or stays shall be tensioned properly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.Provision shall be made for movement and operation of\nvibrator and other plant and equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.Required camber shall be provided over long spans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16.Supports shall be adequate and in plumb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Above concrete form work carefully inspect day to day activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Book to Read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onlinecivil.net\/2018\/10\/advanced-construction-technology.html\">Advanced Construction Technology<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>See More <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinecivilforum.com\/site\/requirements-of-a-good-formwork-or-shuttering\/\">Requirements of a Good Formwork or Shuttering<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Site Inspection of Concrete formwork The completed Inspection of concrete formwork shall be inspected before the reinforcement bars are placed in position.
