Features of a Site Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Site Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the site plan, location of the work with respect\nto the surroundings is known. Site plans are prepared in line diagrams to a\nscale of 1cm = 5 m to 1 cm = 10 m showing the orientation of the building,\nboundaries of land, position of roads, drains, sewer lines, water pipelines,\nadjoining plots of lands with their ownership. The north direction is also\nshown on one of the corners of the site plan to show the geographical\norientation of the building.A site plan is a large scale drawing that shows the\nfull extent of the site for an existing or proposed development. Site plans,\nalong with location plans, may be necessary for planning applications. In most\ncases, site plans will be drawn up following a series of desk studies and site\ninvestigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Site layout plan (sometimes called a block plan) A\nsite layout plan shows a detailed layout of the whole site and the relationship\nof the proposed works with the boundary of the property, nearby roads and\nneighbouring buildings. … Site layout plans should: show a scale bar or a\nmeasured dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan should indicate the following;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Title of the Drawing consisting of the property number\nof the site, name of the block, street or road in which the site is situated,reference\nnumber of approval with the use of building .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.The boundaries of the site and any contiguous land\nbelonging to the owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.North direction relative to the plan of the building\n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.The name and description of the adjacent roads,\nstreet or lanes,if any with the width thereof; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.The road boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.The position of adjacent plots whether vacant or\nbuilt up<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.The area to be occupied by the proposed building and\nthe set backs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.The nature of the ground\/soil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.Any physical features \u2018such as wells, drains,transmission\nlines etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.Natural features like trees, valleys etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.Block levels in cases where basement\/cellar floor are proposed below the ground level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
