Here are 15 tips that\u00a0may help keep your building budget within reason, without\u00a0compromising on the home you want.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1. Buy a large lot with a friend or family member that can be\u00a0split into two smaller lots. Some of the most appealing<br \/>\nproperties may be much larger than what you want or can\u00a0afford, yet the seller may not be willing to break up a large<br \/>\nparcel. So if you can share the cost with someone else\u00a0(preferably someone you don&#8217;t mind having as a neighbor),<br \/>\nyou may be able to pick up a great building site for a\u00a0reasonable price.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/architects4design.com\/cost-of-construction-in-bangalore\/\">Building Estimation Calculator<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2. Consider a so-called problem lot \u2014 a hillside, narrow, or\u00a0in-fill property. However, don&#8217;t skimp on structural components or\u00a0doors and windows \u2014 for the safety and security of your\u00a0home, you&#8217;ll want to purchase the best you can afford in\u00a0these areas.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">7. Don&#8217;t overbuild for the neighborhood. A home that is\u00a0better and bigger than any other in its area will not<br \/>\ncommand a fair price at resale. Instead, the assessment will\u00a0be colored by the lower-priced homes around it.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">8. Monitor construction allowances as the home is being\u00a0built to ensure you&#8217;re getting what you asked for (and are<br \/>\npaying for). This includes decorative details as well as\u00a0structural elements. Do you really need a three-car garage? If you only have\u00a0two vehicles and you&#8217;re counting on the extra bay for<br \/>\nstorage space, consider other areas of the home that will\u00a0work just as well \u2014 attic space, space under a stairwell, or\u00a0spare bedroom.
