The question of why doesn’t arise since we all need each other as a team. To be frank with you, not only civil engineering alone but Mechanical Engineering which is also important and is one of the broadest and oldest engineering discipline that found it’s background from the Military Organization in the civil work like the construction of bridges, roads, system engineering and others. So it is also the mother of all engineering. Refer to your training during the University days Mechanical Engineering courses is being borrowed by most of the engineering department in the faculty right from your part 1, 2, 3 and even part 4 for Agricultural engineering students in most of our Universities here in Nigeria. To crown this, almost all engineering discipline seek support from Mechanical Engineering in terms of the theoretical and practical knowledge of tools, equipment and machines including some technical know how. Without these, no WORK DONE. Civil Engineer needs Mechanical Engineer for a successful work.
Because construction need scapegoat who can work hard, sacrifice their sleep, work in hot summer, frerzing winters, timeless working, to deliver masterpiece.just to convert imaginations into reality of crazy architech, builders and main contractor just for little money
